Hiring the Downs Barn
The Barn is available for hire for environmental education events, and for environmental or agricultural meetings, from April to October.
For eligible events, here's how to hire the barn:
1. Before applying to hire the barn please read our Information Sheet for Users so that you are aware of the facilities and suitability for your event. We regret that there is no broadband at the Barn.
2. Please check the list of already-booked dates published on the Courses & Events page.- this is a useful guide to availability, although the Barn may also be booked for Estate purposes on dates not shown.
3. Complete and send to Mike and Alex Tristram, using the email address links on the Contact page, a Booking Enquiry Form Word version or Booking Enquiry Form PDF version. We will aim to return a Booking Confirmation Form to you within 14 days. An invoice will be sent after your event for payment by BACS.
A vacant period may be required between uses. Organizations booking the barn for an event are responsible for Covid-19-safe risk assessment and practice for their events and for ventilating and sanitizing (eg Dettol spray)/ cleaning at the end of their event of surfaces that might have become contaminated with virus. Also please note that Covid-19 may lead to cancellations.
