• Community Farm, Nature Trail & Orchard

The Sompting Estate's joint "EPIC" project with Ouse & Adur Rivers Trust, is building up a team of community conservation volunteers which will be able to carry on beyond the EPIC project itself, with a base on the Estate's planned Community Farm, "The Fen".

Sompting Estate is partnering with Sustainable Sussex to develop ideas for community-building projects linked to the land in Sompting, which started with bringing their Sussex Chilli Farm project to Sompting.

Here is a plan with some of our ideas for future landscape use of our planned Community Farm site.  It's at a former private equestrian site on the south side of the park between Test Road and Hamble Road.

There will be a Nature Trail which we would open to the public whenever the Community Farm is open, and opportunities to get to know and help others in the community through growing and making foods together.

Beneath the Community Farm ("The Fen") plan, you will find our plan for a Community Orchard.

Please email us via the Contact Us page if you would like to be involved as a volunteer, or to tell us about your ideas.
